Conflicted: – Pandemic Unknowns – What Would You Do?

Conflicted Survival Game:

BEFORE the SHTF!

Conflicted is a Survival Game.  Each card in the deck has a scenario that will stretch how you would respond in an SHTF situation.  What would you do?  Leave your thoughts in the comment section below!

SCENARIO – Reports of an outbreak of a deadly version of the flu virus has suddenly surfaced at a city 300 miles from you.  This news is two days old, and no treatments or cures are available at this time.  The mainstream media tries to muffle the case, the alternative media is reporting a major disaster with dozens of deaths already.

The reports from different outlets are extremely conflicting.  How would you go about investigating this further until you made a firm decision to bug out or stay put?

so much of the pandemic news is fake, and there isn’t a good enough reason to bugout for any reason. if i and my family were worried enough about it we would move more preps to the basement along with 55 gallon containers of water and propane tanks for cooking gather family. tape off basement like we had an EMP listen to radio for more information. keep a look out around house, keep family close. wait it out.

I would react as if the virus was already in my area. Bugging out ? To where ? This might be an option if you lived in an apartment complex or something like that. But travel might put you in contact with the virus. If you had a BOL, you probably should already be there. Better to hunker down. Avoid any contact with the public. Practice good hand washing etc.
Some strains are thought to be airborne. Again, stay at home, away from any situation that would put you in an area that might be a source of contact.
There is no cure for a virus. You can mitigate the symptoms with Tamiflu or something like that. I am starting some Elderberry bushes this year. Medicine might not always be available. Some think Elderberry helps with the flu.
Still, the best way to deal with something like the flu is to avoid contracting it in the first place.
In this area this year, the flu was bad, and seemed to hang on for months. Two different strains. A and B. Some were infected with both ( at different times ).
I avoided infection with common sense. Avoidance and GOOD hand washing/anti-bacterial hand sanitizers. Side note… hand sanitizers have a shelf life of maybe a year.
    Good Luck.

Just FYI. The major hospitals in this area filled up this year and were telling people not to come in unless it was life threatening. This strain produced a lot of lung and breathing issues.
You probably didn’t see that on the 6 o`clock news. Point is, SHTF…whatever medical community will be overwhelmed early on.

???? – Why is the assumed best action for a pandemic SHTF is to bug out?
