Conflicted: How Valuable Is Your Dead – What Would You Do?

Conflicted is a Survival Card Game.  Each card in the deck has a scenario that will stretch how you would respond in an SHTF situation.  What would you do?  Leave your thoughts in the comment section below!

SCENARIO – A traveling witch doctor approached you, and he is paying well in junk silver and ammo for livers of the deceased.  There are plenty of dead all around and you feel this individual isn’t a threat to the living.  To be so close to the bloated, rotting corpses would put you at risk of getting several types of diseases, but you and your camp are in desperate need of more ammo and barter items.  Would you desecrate the dead for your own profit or not?

First off, i am a registered organ donor and my whole family has been advised that it is my wish that on my death the hospital can take whatever they like from me if it would save, or help the lives of some other unfortunate souls, then i want to be cremated. Secondly, as an athiest i have the view that once a person is dead they are in no need of their body anymore and that sacrificing (maybe a poor choice of word there) a part of their body for the “greater good” of the survival cohort might just be one last thing that the deceased could contribute to help ensure the ultimate success of the group.
I think that how the person is remembered is the most important thing. Their legacy, life story and positive impact on those around them is what should be remembered.
HOWEVER…………..i might feel a little different about this hypothasis if the body was one of my kids or wife. I hope i never have to find out.

When TSHTF, dead will be everywhere. In order to survive, one must do anything and everything to survive. I would harvest and barter anything that is available. Would you starve your family to keep the family pet alive? Desperate times call for desperate measures!

It is not that I would not allow body parts to be harvested for some good cause. Though in a SHTF scenario, I just can’t fathom what that would be. But I agree with Kek. The “witch doctor” is one twisted sick individual. And being some sort of leader undoubtedly, it would be a better world not to have him in it.
