What the heck is trash OPSEC (operational security)? Well, it is something that you should take seriously!
You’ve enjoyed your holiday, opened presents and put things together. The last thing you want is to take out your trash and let every thief in town know exactly what you have in your house.
It takes two seconds to break down boxes and put them in big trash bags or even oversized 55-gallon contractor bags, which you should have anyway because there are so many preparedness applications for them.
Preparedness is about making good decisions, all the time. Even when taking out the trash!

Since we take our trash/recyclables to the local Transfer Station, there’s not much chance of prowling thieves seeing any boxes. However, if it’s a box for something potentially covetable (like a firearm box) we are careful to peel off any shipping labels that identify us with the package. We never know who’ll be dropping their corrugated off after us.
