I’m very excited to write this post.  Prepper Website hit 2,000,000 unique page views on August 13, 2013.  This is a month before our 2nd birthday.  I’m blown away!

The actual numbers are:

  • Page Views: 2,544,133
  • Unique Page Views: 2,000,869

Prepper Website officially went live on Sept. 19, 2011.  My first post was called “In One Place.”  I think I posted that late at night because I didn’t link to any other posts till the next day.  On Sept. 20, 2011, I linked to 5 posts.  Here they are in order:

  1. How to Spot the Triggers of a Socioeconomic CollapseSHTF Plan – Mac has been a great friend all along!  Thanks Mac!
  2. How to: Storing Food in Buckets – The Survival Mom (was one of the first sites I every visited in preparedness)
  3. You don’t have to be rich to prep! – Ghost Prepper – I loved how Ghost Prepper packed a ton of info. into a short posts.  Unfortunately, the site has shut down.
  4. How long should you boil water? – Be Survival
  5. 30 signs that the US economy is about to go into the toilet – The Economic Collapse Blog – That Michael Snyder still scares me! 😉

PW has opened up other opportunities to serve even more in the Preparedness Community:

  • The Preparedness Review – has released 2 editions.  TPR-Spring 2013 has been downloaded over 28,400 times since May 2013!
  • Prepper Small Biz – went live in July 2013.  The purpose of PSB is to provide a forum for preppers to support other prepper small businesses.  There is also a way for webmasters to share reviews and I’m very excited about The Book of the Month Club feature, where authors get to interact with their reader/fans.
  • Hunt, Fish, Camp Website – went live in the Summer of 2013.  This site pulls in hunting, fishing, camping, firearms, wilderness survival and survival stories off of Google and posts them.  It updates automatically as Google finds new articles/posts.
  • The Backpage – was going to be a backup for Prepper Website.  However, instead it runs more like the Hunt, Fish, Camp Website in that it pulls in articles related to: homesteading, gardening, food storage, chickens, rabbits, preppers, self-reliance and self-sufficiency.  To get access, you can subscribe to the Prepper Website Newsletter.
  • Education After the Collapse – is the FREE ebook that I wrote.  The book contains primers on reading and math.  It also covers learning styles and more.

During the 2 years that I have run Prepper Website, I have met a lot of great people, online and in person.  I have also learned that the Preparedness Community is a tight niche.  We come from many different places in life, but we have the one desire to be prepared.

I want to say thank you to everyone who has shared Prepper Website: online, on forums, on social media and by word of mouth.  Being part of this community has been a true blessing.

Here’s to another 2 years and another 2 million unique page views!
